Ingredients

  • 2 boneless (skinless) chicken breasts
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Pound the chicken breasts on a cutting board with plastic wrap until even thickness.
  2. 2. Optionally, dry brine the chicken with kosher salt and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Let the chicken stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking.
  4. 4. Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  5. 5. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and coat with the spice mixture.
  6. 6. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  7. 7. Cook the chicken presentation side down for 6 minutes in the air fryer.
  8. 8. Flip the chicken and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 155-160°F (68-71°C), approximately 2-8 minutes more.
  9. 9. Remove the chicken and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
