Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. 1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. 3. In a separate bowl, mix the applesauce, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. 4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined.
