Description

A healthier air-fried version of the Hungarian street food favorite, langos, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 250ml warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Toppings: ham, cheese, or other preferred toppings

Instructions

  1. 1. In a medium bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt.
  3. 3. Add the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms and knead for 8-10 minutes.
  4. 4. Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  6. 6. Punch down the dough, divide into smaller pieces, and roll into ½ inch thick discs.
  7. 7. Place discs in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  8. 8. Top with your favorite toppings and serve.
