Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and finely diced
  • 2 tbsp (25g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. 2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. 3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. 4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
