Description

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. 2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth, then whisk in the honey, melted butter, vanilla extract, and beaten egg.
  3. 3. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the wet mixture, then add the all-purpose flour, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. 4. If desired, fold in nuts into the batter.
  5. 5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
