Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Lay bacon strips in a single layer and mix together brown sugar, maple syrup, bourbon, and black pepper. Brush mixture over bacon and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until crispy.
3. Once cooled, chop bacon into small pieces, reserving some for topping.
4. In a stand mixer, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add egg, warm milk, and softened butter. Mix with a dough hook for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth.
5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
6. Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for filling until combined.
7. Roll dough into a 10×14 inch rectangle, spread filling, and sprinkle chopped bacon.
8. Roll tightly from the long side and slice into 12 pieces. Place in a greased 9×13 inch pan.
9. Cover and let rolls rise for another hour.
10. Preheat oven to 325°F and bake for 24 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
11. Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese and butter until smooth, then add powdered sugar, maple syrup, and bourbon.
12. Spread frosting over warm rolls and top with reserved bacon.
