Description

Ingredients
4–6 medium sweet potatoes
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
1. Peel the sweet potatoes and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sweet potato slices in a single layer.
3. Pour the brown sugar and water over the sweet potatoes, then sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gently stir to coat.
4. Reduce heat to low, cover the skillet, and cook for 35–45 minutes, checking occasionally.
5. Remove the lid and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
6. Stir in the vanilla extract, taste and adjust salt if needed, and serve warm.
