Description

Cheese scones are the ultimate comfort food, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon tea treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. 2. Add cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Stir in the shredded cheese and chives if using.
  4. 4. Gradually add milk, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. 5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times.
  6. 6. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick round and cut into wedges.
  7. 7. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  8. 8. Place scones in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
  9. 9. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. 10. Let cool slightly before serving.
