Instructions

  1. 1. Chop the cooked steak into bite-sized pieces and crumble the bacon. Shred the cheese if not pre-shredded. Mince the garlic and set your tortillas and condiments nearby.
  2. 2. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter begins to foam, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. 3. Keep the skillet at a steady medium heat. Place one tortilla in the skillet and spread a thin layer of the garlic butter across the surface.
  4. 4. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese evenly over the tortilla. Scatter the chopped steak and crumbled bacon over the cheese, season lightly with salt and pepper, and top with the remaining cheese.
  5. 5. Place a second tortilla on top, press down gently, and let it cook until golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
  6. 6. Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook the other side until golden and fully melted.
  7. 7. Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Slice into wedges and serve hot with sour cream and salsa if desired.
