Description

A comforting casserole packed with ground beef, potatoes, and gooey cheese, perfect for families and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion until translucent.
  3. 3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Stir until blended.
  5. 5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the beef mixture, and half of the cheese.
  6. 6. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, pour the soup mixture over the top, and then top with the remaining cheese.
  7. 7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. 8. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. 9. Let sit for a few minutes before serving.
