Instructions

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until it turns brown, breaking it apart as it cooks. If there’s any excess fat, drain it out.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the onion is soft and translucent, and the garlic is fragrant.
  3. 3. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Let this cook for another minute to blend the flavors.
  4. 4. Add the butter to the skillet and let it melt. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer, allowing it to cook for about 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. 5. While the broth simmers, cook the bowtie pasta in a separate pot according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  6. 6. Once the broth has reduced, stir in the half and half (or whole milk) and add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until the sauce becomes creamy and the cheese has melted.
  7. 7. Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir everything together, letting it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. 8. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet, tossing it to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce. Stir until everything is well mixed and coated.
  9. 9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
