Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 15 oz Italian sausage (crumbled)
  • 8 oz rigatoni (uncooked)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or Herbs de Provence
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 5 oz fresh spinach
  • Salt and coarsely ground black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add crumbled sausage, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
  2. 2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Add tomato sauce, chicken broth, and heavy cream, mixing well.
  3. 3. Add uncooked rigatoni and bring to a simmer. Cook for 12-15 minutes until pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
