Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. 3. Add the diced onion and cook until it becomes soft and translucent.
  4. 4. Stir in the minced garlic and sliced smoked sausage. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the sausage is heated through.
  5. 5. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  6. 6. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
