Description

Delightfully crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these air fryer onion rings offer an incredible crunch without the oily mess.

Ingredients

  • 2 large onions (sweet, yellow, or white)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water for dredging
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. 1. Slice the onions into thick rings, about half an inch thick.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3. Prepare a shallow bowl of water for dredging.
  4. 4. Dip each onion ring in the flour mixture, then in water, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. 5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. 6. Place the coated onion rings in a single layer and spray lightly with oil if desired.
  7. 7. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. 8. Serve immediately with your favorite dips.
