These Crispy Broccoli Cheese Nuggets are a delightful snack packed with cheesy goodness and nutritious greens, perfect for kids and adults alike.
Ingredients
250 g broccoli (fresh or frozen)
150 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda or Cheddar)
1 egg
50 g breadcrumbs
30 g flour
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
Salt, pepper, nutmeg to taste
50 g breadcrumbs for coating
2 tablespoons oil for brushing or frying

Instructions
1. Break the broccoli into florets and cook in lightly salted water or steam for about 5 minutes. Let it cool and then finely chop it.
2. In a bowl, mix the broccoli with cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, flour, onion, garlic, and spices until well combined.
3. Form small nuggets from the mixture and roll them in breadcrumbs.
4. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with oil. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for about 20 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through. Alternatively, fry in a pan with a little oil until both sides are golden.
