Deliciously crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside, these Crispy Hungarian Potato Cheese Sticks are the perfect snack or appetizer that’s easy to prepare.
Ingredients
4 medium-sized potatoes
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any cheese that melts well)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Oil for frying (enough for shallow or deep frying)
Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions
1. Peel and grate the potatoes. Squeeze out excess moisture using a kitchen towel.
2. In a large bowl, combine grated potatoes, shredded cheese, flour, egg, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
3. Shape the mixture into finger-sized sticks.
4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until hot. Fry the potato sticks until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.
