Description

Delicious and crunchy dumplings filled with a tasty meat and vegetable mixture, perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of gyoza wrappers
  • 1 cup ground pork or chicken
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Water for steaming

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2. Place a gyoza wrapper in your hand, spoon a bit of the filling into the center, and fold the wrapper in half. Pinch the edges to seal.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and arrange the gyoza in the pan. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown.
  4. 4. Add a splash of water to the pan, cover, and let them steam for about 5 minutes.
  5. 5. Remove the lid and cook until the water has evaporated.
  6. 6. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
