Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, combine chicken stock, honey, rice vinegar, dark soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
  2. 2. Dry the chicken thighs using a paper towel. Mix potato starch, flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on a large plate. Lightly coat both sides of the chicken thighs with the mixture.
  3. 3. Heat enough neutral oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat to cover the bottom. Add chicken thighs and fry for about 7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. 4. In the same pan, add minced garlic, the white part of green onion, and red chili flakes. Sauté for about 3 minutes until garlic turns golden brown. Pour the sauce into the pan and cook for 1 minute or until it thickens.
  5. 5. Add the chicken back to the pan. Cook for 5 more minutes until chicken is completely cooked and well-coated with the glossy sauce.
  6. 6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onion and sesame seeds, with steamed rice and your choice of vegetables.
