Egg and Cheese Toasts

Description
A warm and cheesy breakfast that’s quick, comforting, and completely customizable.
Ingredients
2 slices of bread (white, whole grain, or sourdough)
1 large egg
½ cup of grated cheese (cheddar, gruyere, or your preferred variety)
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary)
Salt and black pepper to taste
A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F or air fryer to 370°F.
2. Lightly toast the bread for 1 to 2 minutes until golden.
3. In a mixing bowl, crack the egg and beat lightly. Add the grated cheese, herbs, salt, pepper, and cayenne if using. Mix until combined.
4. Spread the egg and cheese mixture evenly over each slice of toast.
5. For oven cooking, place toasts on a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden and puffed.
6. For air fryer cooking, place in the air fryer and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until bubbly and set.
