Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • Oil for greasing the air fryer

Instructions

  1. 1. Peel the potatoes and finely shred them using a grater.
  2. 2. Remove excess moisture by wringing out the shredded potatoes in a clean kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Finely grate the onion and mix it with the shredded potatoes.
  4. 4. Crack the egg into the potato mixture, then add flour, salt, and nutmeg, mixing until consistent.
  5. 5. Form the mixture into small, flat patties.
  6. 6. Lightly brush the air fryer basket with oil.
  7. 7. Place the patties in the basket and cook at 180°C (356°F) for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. 8. Serve hot with applesauce or salad.
