Description

A creamy and comforting skillet dinner featuring chicken breasts in a luxurious Dijon mustard and heavy cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  3. 3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 6–7 minutes per side.
  4. 4. Remove the chicken and set aside, tenting it with foil to keep warm.
  5. 5. In the same skillet, add Dijon mustard and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  6. 6. Stir in dried thyme and return the chicken to the skillet.
  7. 7. Simmer for 5–10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  8. 8. Serve the chicken hot, spooning sauce over each breast.
