Description

Juicy grilled BBQ chicken with a simple rub and caramelized sauce, perfect for summer cookouts.

Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.6 lbs total)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

Instructions

  1. 1. Fire up your grill to 450°F (232°C).
  2. 2. Pound the chicken breasts until they are about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
  3. 3. Drizzle olive oil and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and brown sugar. Let the chicken sit for 15–20 minutes.
  4. 4. Grill the chicken for 6 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 6 minutes.
  5. 5. Brush BBQ sauce on each breast and grill for an additional 2 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 155–160°F.
  6. 6. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes under aluminum foil before slicing.
  7. 7. Slice against the grain and serve with extra BBQ sauce.
