Ingredients

  • Ham, finely chopped
  • Butter
  • Flour
  • Milk
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Eggs
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Stir in flour and cook for a few minutes, then gradually add milk, whisking until smooth.
  3. 3. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  4. 4. Add the chopped ham and mix well; allow the mixture to cool.
  5. 5. Once cooled, shape the mixture into small croquettes.
  6. 6. Dip each croquette in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. 7. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry each croquette until golden brown.
