Description

A quick and flavorful pork belly dish with sweet and spicy gochujang marinade and crispy edges, perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork belly
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. 1. In a medium bowl, combine gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, ginger, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  2. 2. Add sliced pork belly, onion, and green onions to the marinade and toss to coat. Let sit for at least 10 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
  3. 3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Transfer marinated pork belly mixture to the hot skillet and spread in an even layer. Sear for 1-2 minutes.
  5. 5. Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pork is cooked through and crispy. Let sit undisturbed for better crispiness.
  6. 6. Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with sesame seeds and additional green onions, and serve hot with steamed rice.
