Ingredients

  • 8 ounces macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 chopped white onion
  • 1 chopped bell pepper
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (or turkey/chickpeas for a vegetarian option)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 4 ounces light cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 4 ounces cheese slices
  • 125 ml reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente, reserving 125 ml of pasta water, then drain.
