Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. 3. Add the egg, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
  4. 4. Stir in the flour, salt, and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon until just blended; be careful not to overmix.
  5. 5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and the remaining ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, then sprinkle over the batter.
