Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until well-blended.
  3. 3. Pour the marinade over the chicken wings and ensure they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for maximum flavor.
  4. 4. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Remove the wings from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Arrange in a single layer on the rack.
  5. 5. Bake for 30 minutes, basting with the reserved marinade halfway through.
  6. 6. Switch the oven to broil for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  7. 7. Remove from the oven, drizzle with remaining glaze, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
