Description

Crispy, fluffy Hungarian flatbreads that are a beloved snack, made healthier with an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 500g flour
  • 250ml warm water
  • 10g sugar
  • 7g active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Grated cheese (for serving)
  • Garlic (optional, for flavor)

Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. 3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. 4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
  6. 6. Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into flat circles.
  7. 7. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the flattened dough inside, making sure not to overcrowd.
  8. 8. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. 9. Serve hot with sour cream, grated cheese, and garlic if desired.
