Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (1.3 lbs total)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Pat the chicken dry and pound to an even thickness.
  2. 2. Combine flour, lemon pepper seasoning, and black pepper. Dredge chicken breasts in the seasoned flour.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high and sear the chicken, about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and tent with foil.
  4. 4. Add minced garlic to the pan, sauté for 20–30 seconds.
  5. 5. Deglaze with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. 6. Stir in butter and lemon juice, adjusting seasoning as needed.
  7. 7. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, cover, and simmer for 4–6 minutes until cooked through.
