Instructions

  1. 1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and pound to an even thickness (1/2–3/4 inch) if needed.
  2. 2. Combine flour, lemon pepper seasoning, and black pepper in a shallow bowl. Dredge chicken in the seasoned flour.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and reaches 155–160°F internal temperature.
  4. 4. Transfer chicken to a plate and tent with foil.
  5. 5. Add minced garlic to the skillet, stirring for 20–30 seconds until fragrant. Add chicken broth and deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits.
  6. 6. Let broth simmer for 1–2 minutes, then add butter and lemon juice. Stir to combine and adjust seasoning.
  7. 7. Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce over it, cover, and cook on low for another 3–5 minutes until chicken is fully cooked (165°F).
  8. 8. Remove from heat and sprinkle with parsley. Let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
