Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. 2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  3. 3. Bake meatballs in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. 4. In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup and bourbon; cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5 minutes.
