Description
A simple recipe for making homemade mochi filled with your favorite ingredients.
Ingredients
1 cup glutinous rice flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
Cornstarch (for dusting)
Filling of your choice (sweetened red bean paste, ice cream, or fruit)

Instructions
1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and sugar.
2. Gradually add water, stirring until the mixture is smooth.
3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 minute, then stir and microwave for another minute.
4. Stir again and microwave for a final 30 seconds.
5. Dust a clean surface with cornstarch and pour the mochi mixture onto it. Make sure to sprinkle more cornstarch on top.
6. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
7. Divide the mochi into small portions and flatten each piece.
8. Place your desired filling in the center and fold the mochi around it.
9. Shape it into a ball and dust off any excess cornstarch.
10. Serve immediately or refrigerate until you’re ready to enjoy.
