Instructions
1. Prepare your mise en place by chopping the onion, mincing the garlic, draining and rinsing the beans, and measuring the pasta and broth.
2. Heat a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it into small pieces until no pink remains.
3. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 4–6 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30–60 seconds.
4. Stir in the diced tomatoes (with their juices), drained beans, and Italian herbs. Mix to combine and heat through for a minute.
5. Pour in the beef broth, stirring to deglaze any browned bits from the pot.
6. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then add the pasta and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook according to package instructions until al dente.
7. Taste and season with salt and pepper as desired.
8. Remove from heat and let sit for a minute or two to thicken slightly before serving hot.
