Description

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well blended.
  3. 3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. 4. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pumpkin layer.
  5. 5. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring it covers as much as possible.
  6. 6. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
