Description

Ingredients
1 pound fresh green beans
4 slices of bacon
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil (optional)
1 cup chicken broth (optional)

Instructions
1. Rinse the green beans and trim the ends.
2. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy.
3. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
4. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
5. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
6. Add the green beans and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes.
7. If using, add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
8. Crumble the cooked bacon and stir it back into the green beans.
9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
10. Cook for another 5-10 minutes until the beans are tender but not mushy. Serve warm.
