Southern-Style Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
2 cans of green beans (drained)
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 cup of milk
1 cup of French fried onions
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and season with salt and pepper.
3. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
4. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven.
5. Remove from oven and stir in half of the French fried onions and optional cheddar cheese.
6. Top with the remaining French fried onions.
7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and the onions are golden brown.
