Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ΒΌ cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Place the carrots in a medium-sized saucepan.
  2. 2. Add water, butter, and brown sugar to the pan with the carrots.
  3. 3. Cover the pan and bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the carrots are tender.
  5. 5. Remove the lid and increase the heat to medium-high. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and glaze the carrots.
  6. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. 7. If desired, sprinkle fresh parsley on top before serving.
