Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Instructions

  1. 1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. 2. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. 3. Place two slices of buttered bread, butter side down, in the skillet. Top with a slice of Swiss cheese.
  4. 4. Crumble cooked bacon on top of the cheese and drizzle maple syrup evenly over the bacon.
  5. 5. Place remaining two slices of buttered bread on top, butter side up. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  6. 6. Flip the sandwiches and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts and both sides are golden brown.
