Instructions
1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together wet ingredients: milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; a few small lumps are fine.
4. Heat waffle maker according to manufacturer directions, greasing lightly, and cook waffles until golden brown.
5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
6. Arrange bacon on the sheet and brush with a mix of maple syrup and brown sugar; add cayenne if desired.
7. Bake bacon for 15–20 minutes until crispy, turning once for even glazing.
8. Transfer bacon to a wire rack to retain crispness.
9. Combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix gently.
10. Form mixture into six patties with a slight dimple in the center.
11. Grill or pan-fry patties over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side, topping with cheese before cooking is complete.
12. Fry eggs to your preferred doneness in a skillet with melted butter.
13. Assemble the sandwich starting with a waffle, then add the patty, bacon, fried egg, and drizzle of maple syrup, topping with another waffle.
